James Carpenter Design is owned and operated by James Carpenter, who has been doing design work since the 1980s.

Starting out on a small Mac with a 9" screen, I have seen the digital age come into what it is today.

I developed his first website in 1996 when there were just over 1,000,000 sites on the internet.

Since beginning in 1988, Jim managed a small print shop with a staff of three people. He was responsible for creation of promotional media from initial creation, to finished product. The shop created business cards, letterhead, stationary, envelopes, flyers, books, programs, posters, display media, calendars and rack cards/flyers.

After moving on from the print shop, I was hired as a graphic designer and web developer for the Farmington Public Library in Farmington, New Mexico.

I have since retired.
